Use a supervised, hazard-free area, appropriate footwear, covered suitable shin guards and no jewellery. Keep training areas separated with clear run-off. Diagrams are schematic, not to scale.

A LITTLE CONTEXT

Good sessions start with good judgement.

Training ≠ match regulations

For FAW 2026/27, U11 match format is up to 7v7 with a squad up to 14, a 44 × 40 yard pitch and a size 4 ball. Festival playing time is at most 60 minutes; each game at most 20 minutes. These are match rules, not a prescribed training length or training pitch size.

No heading practice for U11 and below. Eligibility uses academic years and age at 31 August.

Activities are illustrative adaptations awaiting qualified coach review. Marker goals, timing and no-goalkeeper organisation are prototype choices, not official match rules. The paired arrival is a coach-authored adaptation of technique and decision-making aims.
